Library Cards will be issued to the students of 3rd Sem. (Hons.) & 5th Sem. (Hons.) From 22/11/2021 on production of their Acknowledgement Cards/Fee Books (Current & Previous if any) Fro the Library Counter according to the following schedule.

BANGABASI COLLEGE
Welcome
Library is not only a store house of knowledge but also a centre of dissemination of the same. Though Bangabasi College was established in the year 1887, the College Library started functioning in the year 1980. As is well known, College Library is primary meant for store of “ Books” – B (Built in) O (Orderly) O ( Organized) K(Knowledge).
Infrastructure
The College Library is situated in the first floor of the main building of the College, adjacent to the Principal's room. About 3000 Sq.ft. is the total carpet area of the central Library. The reading room of the college is named after the great freedom fighter Jatin Das who happened to be an alumnus of this college. The reading room has a seating capacity of approximately 50 students. There is also a carrel for the teachers. The Library is equipped with ICT facilities like Desktops., Laptops, Printers, Scanners, Telephone and Intercom.
Management
The Library is managed and financed by Bangabasi College as per the recommendation of Library Sub-Committee. Apart from this, regular Library grant is sanctioned by UGC and State Government. Library Sub-Committed is headed by Principal/Teacher-in-Charge with Librarian as Convener and Teachers as Members, who monitor the functioning of the Library periodically.
